This is map of Europe. England is on the east side of the Atlantic Ocean. This is a plan of London. London is in England. Nearly nine million persons live in London. It is a large city on both side of the Thames. The Thames is a river in England. The river Thames is very wide. Bridge connects the two part of the city. The large building with towers is the Houses of Parliament. The building is near the Thames. It is on the right-hand side of the river, near a bridge. They call it Westminster Bridge (They call it - его называют. They в этом предложении никого конкретного не обозначает. Подробнее о безличных предложения говорится в уроке 16). We see a large clock near the top tower on the left. They call it Big Ben.

The white building with two square towers in front of the Houses of Parliament is Westminster Abbey. At the other end of Westminster Bridge, on the left-hand side, we see a big square building with a curved front. On the right-hand side we see six or seven square buildings. They are large hospital.

Listen! Big Ben strike the hours: one, two, three, four, five, six seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve. Good night!

Take Helen's map. Find the river Thames. Find the London on the map. Take a plan of London. Make a plan of this part of the city. Take Peter's book. Take both books. These are our friends' books. Our friends Helen and Peter live in London.

Read these words. Read this part of the text. Read both texts. Write the words "river', "building', bridge". You write the letters well. Connect the letters. Take this clock and put it on the table. Take my pencil and give it to him. Give me your notebook. Take their notebooks and put them in your bag. Read the end of the text.

Give the child your hand. Take his hand.

The child listens. The clock strikes the hours: one, two, three, four, five, six seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve.
